Digital X-rays
Every treatment room is equipped with the latest in digital x-ray equipment. With this modern technology, the images are recorded not on plastic film but on a special electronic sensor capable of incredible detail. There are many advantages for the patient:
1. Much SAFER. The sensitivity of this system uses 80% less radiation than conventional x-rays. With digital x-rays we can take five images to equal one image on regular film.
2. The results are instant. No waiting for developing the images in a darkroom. If corrections or special pictures are necessary they can be done immediately.
3. The digital x-rays are stored on the computer- easy to find and difficult to loose.
4. The images can be seen on any computer in the office and easily shown to the patient. Thus the patient is better informed of their health status.
5. The digital images can be sent by email to the insurance company or a specialist if necessary.
6. Better for the environment. No chemicals to use and dispose of.
