insurance and financial policies
Our office works hard to make quality dentistry affordable. It is our experience that anyone can arrange to keep ones teeth a lifetime and do so esthetically and comfortably. To this end there are multiple financial arrangements available.
To those with dental insurance: our office computer has thousands of different insurance group numbers that we can query and discuss with you their benefits. As a service to you we will accept assignment from the insurance company making your out of pocket commitment significantly less. We can upon request write the insurance company ahead of time for a written response or "pre-estimate" of exactly what their commitment is expected to be. On many occasions we provide written narratives with and without photographs to assure that the patient receives the benefits to which they are fairly and ethically entitled.
As of this time our office does not work with DMO insurance. This is called a closed panel type of insurance, which requires you to choose only from a specific list of doctors or else no insurance benefits can be utilized by the patient. We believe this type of insurance is unfair to the patient and puts pressure on us to see the patient less frequently, use inferior materials, use less advanced laboratory services and in general treat you differently than we are accustomed to do. PPO insurance companies, also known as Preferred Provider Organizations, also have a suggested list, and we regularly work with these plans but some restrictions may exist: best call the office for more details.
Regardless if one has dental insurance or not, the office has a selection of payment options. One option allows a discount or bookkeeping courtesy and other options allow those qualified patients a monthly payment plan for different lengths of time up to a year and a half! In fact the monthly payment plan can be arranged interest free.
