Invisalign has helped people all over the world achieve the smiles they have always wanted, without fixed braces.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is an orthodontic system that uses custom made clear, thin plastic trays -or aligners as they are called- to incrementally straighten your teeth. No wires or brackets are needed.

How does it work?

One wears the custom-made aligners for two weeks at a time. They must be worn full time only removing them for eating and brushing. After two weeks a new set of aligners is used. Each set of trays is slightly different than the proceeding set, guiding the teeth comfortably and gradually to the desired positions. One must see Dr.Silberman roughly every 6 weeks to check the progress and receive new aligners.

The fact that the trays are removable allow you to keep your teeth and gums healthy much easier than with traditional braces. This minimizes any risk of permanent stains on the teeth left over from the brackets and also lessons inflammation of the gums.

Invisalign can be used to correct crowded teeth, crooked teeth and close unsightly spaces. As with any orthodontic effort there are limitations. Call Dr. Silberman’s office for a consultation at no cost to see if you are a candidate for this procedure.
